Ask President Obama to Support a Global Whaling Sanctuary

Ask President Obama to Support a Global Whaling Sanctuary

It was a close call for whales at this year's International Whaling Commission meeting. For a while it looked as if the greed of whaling nations would triumph over conservation and humaneness. But we succeeded in keeping the moratorium on commercial whaling alive.

Whaling nations (and their supporters) won't take this defeat lying down. We can't rest, either. The best way to protect whales is to declare a global whale sanctuary, which would make all oceans safe for whales.

TAKE ACTION
