Stand with Maryland Families! Sign the Pledge.

In April, the highest court in Maryland issued a ruling declaring pit bull type dogs "inherently dangerous," unfairly and unjustifiably discriminating against one group of dogs and their owners. This ruling could lead landlords to put in place no-pit-bull policies or even ban dogs altogether. Tens of thousands of dog owners may be forced to choose between their homes and their beloved pets, with animal shelters and rescues bearing most of the burden.

Thousands of Maryland families are impacted by this decision. We need your help!

Sign on with us, and millions of animal lovers worldwide, today and say "NO" to discrimination against pit bull-type dogs.

Your Pledge:

I stand with Maryland families!

To: The Humane Society of the United States

No dog is "inherently dangerous." I pledge to stand with Maryland and spread the word that dogs are part of American families. Policies that discriminate based on breed or type of dog are wrong and ineffective. Promoting responsible pet ownership is the best way to keep our communities safe.

Sincerely,
