Call Off the Seal Slaughter

Call Off the Seal Slaughter

Climate change continues to destroy sea ice, causing a high mortality rate for newborn seals who need it to survive.

Yet the Canadian government still authorizes the slaughter of hundreds of thousands seals each year for their fur—and uses government funds to finance the purchase of seal skins.

Each spring, the commercial seal slaughter begins off the coast of Newfoundland. Please ask Canada's Prime Minister to call off next year's the seal slaughter now.
