Greyhound racing is cruel and inhumane. Voters in Florida will have the historic opportunity to put an end to decades of abuse by voting YES on Amendment 13 on the 2018 ballot. Greyhounds are confined in stacked rows of warehouse style kennels for up to 23 hours a day. Many dogs suffer injuries while racing and according to state records, a racing greyhound dies every three days on a Florida track. Twelve of the remaining 18 greyhound racetracks in the country are in Florida. Amendment 13 will phase out commercial greyhound racing in Florida by the end of 2020, saving the lives of thousands of dogs.
