Dear State Official,

The Humane Society of the United States' new undercover investigation of a Petland corporate store in Florence, KY found puppies with parasites and bacterial infections such as campylobacter, which can spread to humans.

In recent years, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has linked more than 118 cases of human campylobacter bacterial infections to contact with Petland puppies, which resulted in a number of people being hospitalized. There have been countless incidents all over the country that can be linked to Petland and it seems that they aren't taking all necessary steps to ensure the animals' welfare or public safety.

The investigation found Petland was covering up disease outbreaks and hiding them from the public. Petland has been misleading customers and selling sick puppies in order to make a profit. Petland continues to ignore animal welfare and public safety issues for the sake of making sales.
