Yes! I want to help build a sanctuary for chimpanzees in Liberia!

More than 60 chimpanzees in Liberia, Africa were used for decades by a U.S.-based organization in invasive research and testing. These chimpanzees were retired from research more than a ten years ago and will always be completely reliant on humans for their survival. The Humane Society of the United States has stepped in to provide lifetime care for these chimpanzees who have been through so much!

While food and water are critical, facilities are also needed to provide the chimpanzees with true sanctuary care, but such facilities don't currently exist. Now you have an opportunity to make a huge difference for these long-lived animals. When you donate to our Liberia Chimpanzee Sanctuary Fund, you can help build the first-ever sanctuary in Africa for chimpanzees formerly used in research.

Please make your gift using the secure form below. Your entire donation will go towards giving these chimpanzees a better future in a sanctuary. Plus, you'll receive updates and action alerts so you can take quick, simple actions for animals each week.
