RESCUE UNDERWAY | 2 p.m., June 17, 2019: We’re on the ground in Killeen, Texas, assisting with a large-scale case of alleged neglect where nearly 200 cats and kittens (plus several dogs) are being removed from appalling conditions in an 1,800 square-foot residence. Kittens were being housed in aquarium tanks, suffering from severe eye issues and surrounded by moldy litterboxes. Now, these animals will be given the veterinary care they’ve so far been denied and, eventually, the opportunity to be placed in loving homes.
We never know when disasters will strike or when animals may be in need of urgent rescue, but we know we must be ready. Your support makes our preparedness, rescue, care and relief work possible.
