Prairie dogs are incredibly important to the Great Plains ecosystem. These industrious creatures enrich habitat with their burrowing activities. At least nine species of wildlife depend on prairie dogs for their very survival.
Though prairie dog habitat has decreased tremendously and their numbers have dwindled dramatically, people are still trying to wipe out these highly social creatures using poison or "killing contests."
We're working to stop the senseless killing and promote humane solutions to conflicts between prairie dogs and people. Please help us protect prairie dogs. Your monthly donations will go directly to the Prairie Dog Coalition's work to protect prairie dogs and their ecosystems. As a thank you for your support, we'll send you updates and action alerts so you can take quick, simple actions for animals each week.
